Avant-Garde, "the unexamined life is not worth living", was that Socrates?
Examning what is right, is like peeling the onion, layer by layer.  Right does exist.  It's not merely an illusion, but no one has a lock on it, and no one's perfect either.

A whiff of fresh air, wisdom learnt from life, invocation, -  provoking, urging, reasoning, logic, articulation, expession, all rolled into one with the gift wrap of language is what is AVANT!!!

I think most people don't stop long enough to consider whether or not their preconceived ideas of what is right prevent them from looking honestly at themselves.

Avant-Garde, I try to incorporate some of the wisdom of Eastern philosophy

Attachment is surely suffering, attachment to things, people and ideas do lead only to a brick wall and to delusion, putting possessions before love a heartless farce.   All the ideas that I tried to master in college seem antiquated and worthless to me, in my wanderings, in my sleepless hours.

but there is a spirit, truth, that still, I believe in, that requires love of God, love of humanity, and to try to do right, as a prerequisite.  I struggle to find that.

Thanks for reading. I like to read something inspirational every day. It is good to hear that someone thinks of my work that way.

That is exactly right. You cannot create what you are not already. It just appears that you are not already what you create. Does that make sense? My head hurts.

I got fifteen cents.

Instability and upheaval
and ecstasy and beauty and fear and violence are all temporary but life is the ephemeral woven together. It helps to know that change is perhaps the only constant

A-G, lovely stuff. We have an item on Radio 4 over here, in the mornings, a

small piece each day called 'Thought for the Day' - it'll be composed and read by a prominent member of a school of thinking, religious or otherwise - your pieces remind me of this. Something to ponder on each day.

Thank you.

many of my earliest memories are around wanting and losing posessions. a little brown dog on wheels i could not fix, i tried.

an old bike from a yard sale and a guitar is  the most  I own now. my older brothers tell me they envy that I have no commitments or posessions.

when you say be what you most want, you mean what can not be taken away ? it seems like the only thing you can create that is not perishable.
