fourcats,
They'd have to fork over a bundle for me to move back in the house.  We'd have to get the downstairs floors fixed before moving back in.

At the moment, if I hang any longer in this house than necessary, one of these days somebody's going to be standing in the crawl space after the floor collapses!  Not LOL!

ooo! - you could
definitely rent it out as a location for a movie shoot!  they pay some mighty big money and you'd still have the house and trailer to live in so you wouldn't really be displaced.

Julia.,
We live in rural Southern Indiana, Crawford County.  In most of the county, there is no zoning.  When the uppity-ups tried to get zoning in a few years back, we voted it down.

I will, however, check to see if building permits are required.  I don't want any trouble once the castle is built.

fourcats,
Filming the building process is an excellent idea.  Maybe we really could sell the finished film.   I'm also thinking we could cash in on the whole idea, maybe rent out the ground surrounding the castle for some medieval festival.

This is one of the most exciting things that's happened to me.  I'm so grateful for the whole castle idea.

you should definitely film and/or video the process.
hope it comes out beautifully! you are lucky to live somewhere without strict laws governing what you can put on your property--where in the heck is that???

what a fantastic adventure! make sure you take photos, starting with the
very first step.  actually, if you filmed it, you could make a documentary and shop it around!

Tanga,
I think it'll be glorious fun.  Soon as we get going on the construction, I'll start blogging on it.

God bless.
