Jim Fixx who wrote the Compete Book of Running died of a heart attack while running. I think every so often we get reminders that we aren't in charge.

He took chances but it always seemed that everything was planned out. He knew how to react to the animals and how they would react to him. Sometimes it is hard to remember nature is in charge.

It reminded me so much of Ewel Gibbons (spelling)
The naturalist who was always preaching to people the many things they could eat out in the woods. Then he ate something and it killed him.
He really, really loved his life. You said that comment to me once about wanting to have that one year....Well, can you imagine waking up feeling like he felt. You could tell he was just enthralled with the smallest of things.
