Indian Food issss so good

but  it made me gain weight, too.  All the delcious lentils, fruits and rice!

All those whole foods are good for you, too.  Vegitarian diets make me gain weight, so I have to do low carb and low calorie. If you eat dairy, you can achieve this diet without eating alot of starch, just eat more greans and cheese.

Try walking more and not sitting down as much, it helps me. Blessings.

I am in the same situation
I put on 10Kg after moving to Zambia due to many of the same reasond you described. I know I must lose some weight, but how I love my food and beer! Good luck, you seem much more determined than I am.

You can do it!
I remember the first time I saw "obese" on my doctor's chart.  It was horrifying.  I also remember the first time I dipped back below that number that simply put me at "overweight" and how thrilled I was.   I lost and kept 70 lbs off and am hoping for another 30 or so.   My success seems to come from removing all refined sugar and wheat from my diet.  That is so hard to do in this modern world, but I keep trying.  The alternative is to be fat, unhealthy and unhappy and that is simply unacceptable.   Anyway, my point is... it can be done and you can do it!!!!!!

Thank you for the encouragement.  I think I will have to devise such methods too.

good luck with the renewed effort
.. one of the reasons I've stayed in this part of Sydney is the temperature and the close proximity of pleasant coastal walking tracks which, by their nature, invite a kind of exercise that's enjoyable.
