Justi, doing this sort of thing seems to be your niche. Your love will show them the way. God knows what he's doing. If they can't learn love from you, then it's not in them.

This has been the greatest lesson of my life. For three years I have been doing this and each time there are shocking stories of life styles that I can not fathom, yet it has a quality of normalcy to them in that it is all they have known. It takes great patience, love and care in your speech to work with them without cracking them into a hand full of chards. Thanks for your great input. God bless you.

You are learning how to be compassionate in the face of horror. It's very easy to get enraged and want to take revenge. Kids and animals are defenseless, and stir our deepest sympathies. I, too, have often wondered what goes through a caregiver's mind when things happen. Most often, it is nothing but selfish thoughts.

It is amazing every time we get a new group they seem to come with more issues. The difference in them, most of them that is, when they leave and when they come is incredibly different. They are so special.

You could easily be the first person in their life that shows them they are worthy of love. The impact you will have on thier lives will be amazing.
Be prepared for anything and just love them, they need that more than anything else.
