Blanche
I guess you are right. It seems more like a 'journal' category to me lately.

Avant-Garde, well, categories are not that cut-and-dried
You can always mix things up a little, which you are anyway.

Thank you. I never know where these are going. I guess that's the beauty of it.

Thank you. It is true that we are here for what we experience during our insatiable quests to conquer and own things.

Thank you. Your words are encouraging. I don't think I'm much interested in riding them. There's two right across the road here. Sometimes, I take my boy over and let him pet them.

I'm thinking of getting out of religion and spirituality category altogether.

I surely enjoyed my encounters with them. They always provided me with a rich collection of memories.

"I always had objectives other than interacting with them".... and then the helplessness of it all.....leading your soul to the beauty in "awe and wonder". Wonderful, really wonderful !

avant-garde.
I am intrigued by horses as well and many times post pics of those nearby. I just have a certain fear of them that comes from my childhood but I love them from afar. You write so well my friend, being published should be a reality for you.

Avant-Garde, I enjoy petting horses so much more than riding them.

To me, they're scary and unpredictable. I had some interesting experiences as a kid. My grandpa, the Russian one, bought two ponies.  One was a Shetland, named Snowflake, and the other was a Welsh, named Buckshot.  Snowflake pulled a little red cart, but she hated being ridden, as I found out.  Buckshot also was cantankerous, and used to try to throw me off in order to get to the orchard where the apples were.

That and the Appaloosa mare, my other grandparents had in their pasture, Misty, who was only green broke.  She would take every opportunity to buck me off, scrape me off on low-hanging tree branches or run away with me. Horses are much nicer to pet and look at than to ride, I've decided.  I'm looking forward to your adding photos to your blog.

Avant-garde, I can sure understand the lure.   There is something quite wonderful about those animals especially when a bond is made.

Thank you. I rode on one when I was very young. It was a memorable experience.

Thank you. I've looked into owning them. They are time consuming and very expensive to maintain. Maybe someday I'll get two or three.

I am working on gettting a digital camera that I can make good use of. We purchased a new computer last week, so I'm hoping to be able to put pics up soon.

I believe animals have so much to teach us, if we would just stop being so arrogant and listen to them.
