Ah, yes! A temporaty lapse of concentration on my part there.
Clearly incineration in a suitably emission -suppressed furnace, or possibly an acid bath is called for.
After it has performed its political purpose of disposing of The Bush Thing, the acid could be filtered and used in solar power batteries.

It is devoutly to be hoped that the Mars ship has a single pilot/engineer.radio operator ; the Prez, and that it has only sufficient fuel for the trip out.
