Kingi -- Time will tell, but I would vote for Condi over Hillary anytime!

Do you really think is over????
They've been fighting for generations. We have a cease fire for less than 48 hours and you're ready to make Condi president???? Actually, I think they French have bailed us out. We can't put US troops there because we're tooo closely identified with Israel.

I agree, DearJohn, the infighting and kneejerk name calling seems to have

gotten thick on both sides of the fence and if truth be told, most people would have more in common, than not, if we were to sit down and compare a laundry list of values and beliefs.

I'm still a liberal, even at this age, although my uncle used to quote the phrase, "You're a fool if you're not a liberal at 20 and a fool if you're not a conservative at 40".  I've passed that benchmark, but I hope I'm not what most people consider a "Liberal", the word used to not to be so feared and loathed.

Values?
I have friends on both sides of the fence.  What I ask is for a set of guiding  principles, not blind party allegience.  I am a conservative by education and learning.  I was once a liberal (as a youth), but can no longer find the rationale for such.  It would be nice if we could lose the lib v conservative labels.  Even the dem v rep terms.  I think most of us (except for the extremes on both sides) are pretty close in most things.

It's a crapshoot, DearJohn, it's hard to tell the players even with a score
card.  How do you tell a "liberal Republican" from a "Conservative Democrat"?

True
Sad but true.  The fact is that the Republicans are doing nothing with the power they have garnered. But the Dems have nothing to offer.  A sad state of affairs.  Curious how it will play out in November.

I think it will be a moot point, no Republican strategist, and you have to
the devil his due, Karl Rove is a genius at his game, would ever consider running Condaleeza Rice in the south, "Nascar Dads' (polite euphemism there) would jump ship and start trying to rally the south for another secession.

Condi
If you look closely at the liberals, they, unfortunately, are rather racist.  They love blacks, as long as they play victim.  If they succeed, they are either ignored or pillaried.  I am a classic liberal in that I believe in equality for all.  That is why I am no longer a democrat.

MissJohn, thanks for reading. I hope you are wrong about Condi not
Winning v. Hillary. It would be Ms Clean vs. Dr. Filth! Only the racists would vote against her!

Fllight, these liberals don,t know what to think of her!
They are so accustomed to having the black vote and ignoring black talent!

Go, Girl
I aalso think Condi is terrific, but I suspect she is more comfortable as the go-to person, not the key decision maker.  Look for no Hillary v Condi in 2008.  Besides, as much as I hate to admit it, Hillary would win handily.

What flavor Kool-Aid is that, btw?

Condi Rice has no chance of gaining the Republican nomination. And, deservedly so.

"Halfway out the door."
