Nautikos
Hey, count yourself in my prayers too my friend, it's powerful stuff I got here

Blanche,

again, I am really very grateful for your and everybody else's prayers and good wishes.

Not being accustomed to praying, I have a very simple, if not simplistic, view of this - those who pray for me wish me well, whatever they may think of me. And if they wish me well, I am thankful.

Nautikos, well, I don't know about you, but who's doing the praying and why

If someone says to me, "I'll pray for you", it can mean a few things, and some of them not all that complimentary, like, "I'll pray for you, you degenerate, you need more help than I am able to give you".  or "I'll pray for you, but I think you're beyond hope", but in my case, I simply meant, "well, you've done everything else that reason and comon sense would dictate, such as seeing a doctor, getting Xrays, and a cast, now only time, your natural healing process and the indefinable mystery that only you can determine exists can do the rest".  That's my take.

Enjoy your bike riding, geting back on the bike is a good sign.

TAPS,

thanks again for your concern.

If you're worried about it, you should definitely not ride a bike! As a rule, I've always felt comfortable, and my accident was somewhat freakish. I can't wait to get out there again, but it may take a while. I certainly hope it will happen before the snow falls, because I don't ride in winter...

Nautikos, I'm sorry for your pain and suffering, but I'm so glad that it is all fixable and time will heal (with the help of Doc & hospital).    I don't ride a bicycle anymore because there is no safe place for it where I live.

Blanche,
thanks for your good wishes! My heathen soul even appreciates peoples' prayers, how do you figure that?

Nautikos, my apologies for not wishing you a speedy recovery sooner!

I missed the whole truck incident, now I understand why you left the comment in my blog about being on crutches.  Well, on the plus side, your injuries seem minor. On the minus side, there are no minor injuries if they're YOURS.

I hope that fibula heals quickly and cleanly, and add my prayers for your agnostic soul, you heathen you.
