Excellent post Azur
I dislike labels and boxes. There is such a thing as trying to look at all that is happening with a balanced view that hopefully leads to the truth, or as close to it as you can find. Research is vital to achieving that goal. The last sentence in your post before the p.s. especially powerful. Thanks for the recommendation.

It would be a mistake
to overestimate the morality and intentions of people - be they avowed terrorists or whiskey-courage fist shakers screaming at CNN from a barstool.  Humans are the only specie that makes formal rules for war and then ignores tham at the first opportunity.

JohnMcNab, no I don't think so but if the guilt
guilt that is imposed on many people through religion could be reduced and the extremists could be pushed further to the margins that would help I think

Avant-garde, clearly so.
people seem hell-bent on trying to conclude matters but the solutions some are  proposing will conclude much more than the problem.

More violence will solve nothing.

As someone suggested to me yesterday, Azur, why not abolish religion?  It wouldn't cause as much bloodshed as blowing up a country - or would it?

MarieClaire66, it's like a self-fulfilling prophecy
if people can't see their way throught it, they assume the worst will happen. moderate their actions accordingly which increases the chances it will happen

Blonde,
Things are getting more confusing which is why people paint things in black and white - or more accurately blood red

TAPS, sometimes I see bloggers agree with two opposing ideas
moments apart and I wonder that people think. Then I remember that all of us are walking contradictions

Blanche01, yes I should know better - it gets me down
It's like an ever-decreasing circle.

Azur, you're a braver woman than I if you read the News & Poltiics section
of the blog.  It was too scary in there.  The inside of a bigot's mind is not a pretty place. Good for you for speaking up.

Azur, I think sometimes it is to easy to whip up a blog post that bloggers don't really stop to think what they are really saying or even to ponder what they think that they think.

Good Post.

There is so much hypocrisy in the air! I feel it, see it  and read it!

I feel that the world has ever been so messed up as it is today. Is it just me or are things getting more confusing, heartbreaking and sad?

solid common sense here.
I admit I have not a clue about politics, but if people are so worried about being blown up, as you say, why would you wish it on other people? Fear brings the worst out of people, regardless of the political implications, it is each to their own trying to save their own skin at other people's expense if need be. So that was my two cents worth of ignorance. Thanks for your comment on my poem, to which I responded in my corner.
