Naut, I call everybody darlin'...men and women. I usually have an idea
of when it's not a good idea to do so...then I just have to decide whether or not I'm goin to do it anyway! I definitely do not subscribe to p.c. policy. I was a first-born southern daughter, and I spent the first forty some years of my life tryin' to please everyone but myself...I don't do that anymore.I am who I am, and if someone I meet doesn't like me...well, it surely doesn't hurt my feelins...I don't like everybody I meet either...although, bless their hearts, some of them really should just stay home! LOL!

muser,
I love the Southern accent, although I've never lived there. I picked up 'luv' in Britain years ago, and it still slips out sometimes, as does 'daahlin'...Unfortunately, sometimes it offends some ladies...too bad, really.

It was a stroke of luck, Muser. ...had cranberries on hand... tossed some into the cornbread batter...turned out to be great flavor contrast..

HAHAHA, muser, My nagging, griping, complaining, heathen of a mother-in-law,
bless her heart, hated cornbread. I didn't know it until the first Thanksgiving dinner that I cooked for her to show that I could cook. Of course I put cornbread in the stuffing (who doesn't?). She called my stuffing "dog food" and refused to touch it or the turkey that it was in. She said that on the farm they made cornbread with the oldest eggs, the sour milk and any leftovers to feed the dogs.

having lived in the South, and I am forcing myself not to linger :) Right now I have work to do, but can't resist just dropping by... how are you today?
