R_I, I agree. It evidently is not obvious, though, to most.

they are God's chosen people, and have been hated for that forever...
hated beyond anything we can imagine...

Justi, where is that verse about blooming? I'd forgotten that.

Isaiah???

Regarding the nastiness, actually, I think YOU are gutsier than me, not to mention that you are posting more often, which means you get nailed more often.  Hang in there, pal.  YOU CAN DO IT!

Thanks, all of you, for your comments.

Hey Corbin, the "love-in" -- there's a great idea.
But I don't see him coming to that.  Why don't YOU try twisting his arm???

Offbeats, I completely concur.
To think that ANYONE would wish such evil on the Jews once again makes no sense.  To think that humans could have such hatred for fellow humans.  The evil we are capable of . . . .

Hi Writersblok,
Ach, stupid Mel.  I bet he's regretting that drunken stupidity, eh?  I only heard snippets of that story, but it sounds like he made some very regrettable comments.

And what you see right here on Blogit.....

is a microcosm of the entire war on terror and the Israeli conflict......

Shall we negotiate with him?  Offer a truce?  What will be changed?  Perhaps we can all gather here on blogit on Shamsuddin_Jim's August 25th love-in and have a panal discussion?

Jane's
It is so amazing how all of this is set out as clearly as can be. Those who say nothing can be tested by the Bible give only Revelation as a reference for prophecy. Yes they are successful and according to covenant commands all who speak or act against Jews will be cursed and all who bless them will be blessed. Even what they have done with the land is in the Bible, making it bloom. People's attitudes on here really are scary. I think they are more afraid of you than me. They don't leave as much ugliness on your blogs. Good for that, it gets to you after awhile.

Janes
I have read that comment as it was directed to me. I have come to the conclusion there is no talking to that person. People like that don't want to hear anything that is contrary to their belief ( even if the facts state otherwise) It made me sick when I read the response. I don't understand the mind set!

Are you kidding me?
Maybe Mel Gibson will call this blogger and they can be friends.

taps, I hear you. Thanks for commenting!

Regarding hatred -- I have felt strong emotions, but I don't think they equate with hatred.  That is a powerfully strong emotion with the potential to lead to the next step -- violence.

Thanks for sharing!

JanesOpinion, For the life of me, I cannot understand the hatred.  I've read the Bible and I know the history of it all and intellectually, I understand what it says, but emotionally I don't understand the hatred.  I don't think that I have ever hated anyone in my whole life and the concept is beyond me.
