It is for now! We have a US Navy Port here and US Air Base (Abu Dhabi)

It is neutral ground in my eyes....but now days I believe anything, anywhere could come under attack.

Thanks for stopping by....I'm going to try to add daily entries to this blog. There are so many fabulous hotels, shops and places to see over here. I can't believe the indoor ski moutain with ski lift inside the Emirates Shopping Mall....it is a sight!

Bel, OFFBEATS

It is truly amazing here, seriously unlike anything I've ever seen. It is such a clean place too! The beaches are first class along with every restaurant and hotel that I've been to.

The local population is actually less than 20% of the total population.....it is a big melting pot here.....I fit right in!

I'm going to try to post something new on this blog everyday. There is so much going on in Dubai right now.....it would take forever to write.

Thanks for stopping by my new blog

WOW! What a beach!!!

Have I mentioned I like beaches LOL...probably only about 50 times.   I am curious about the culture.  From the photos it almost looks like a resort community.  Is there a mix of cultures or are the locals mostly natives?

I always forget there is a great deal of water in that part of the world.  I see the pictures Carl sent home and it's mostly sand and more sand.
