I think maybe political correctness has been much more of a problem than a help. We put up with anything to be tolerant. Many who want to be boisterous etc., let it get out of hand because they can and feel good about it. Control issues are a part of it as well. So many want and need they feel to be in control of others in what ever way they can even if it is just words. People talk about dialog and there is no such anymore there is only ugly. These things are on an individual level but the same is the issue when it comes to countries, pride, control and who can be the ugliest.

Sophistie, avoiding conflict seems to be impossible, but dealing with conflict is like a poker game--you have to know when to hold, when to fold, when to walk away and when to run. In a personnel conflict, its time to walk away when you no longer have respect for their opinion.
