Good point, Pat.  I'd be better to keep a low profile or perhaps flee the country.

Whatever you do, don't threaten to sue!
That has the potential for multiplying the number of sales -- and readers.. :)  Great read!

Isn't it a great feeling, TAPS.

I'll have to start using that, Johnmcnab since its true that I am.  (chuffed that is)

Taps
'Chuffed' means being happy with life, Taps.  Unchuffed is being pretty fed up with life.  I prefer chuffed every time.

Lazinitis, I like that, Johnmcnab.  But what's this "chuffed"?   I've not heard that before.

Blanche
It hasn't been accepted yet, Blanche.  I'm going to start a campaign to prevent publication, or perhaps I'll ask for royalties.

Azur
Touche, Azur.  I cringe when I see my name in print.

John, so you and Ell are going to be (in)famous in your friend's novel?
So, where can I get a copy?

You see, you are just as irritated with yourself as I am with me
I  have a dread of being mentioned in books or articles and yet I inflict that pain on others

I think I'm the Roman 'cos I have a big nose and Ell is the clef 'cos she holds the key to everything.  The book is a diary - a religious diary, I suppose you could call it - about our friend's marriage and the death of her husband.  The sequel - which still has to be accepted by the publisher (and may not be) - is about her life after her late husband's death and her subsequent marriage to an old friend who oddly enough has the same Christian name as her late hubby.  Life is strange.

JohnMcnab, you and Ann are so busted!
You're in a roman a clef, and, I guess, that makes you the "clef"?  Where can I buy a copy?
