Avant-garde, I was in New Orleans for about a week in those conditions,
traveling with my parents, and dressed in polyester doubleknit... Hated the climate-- loved the bayou boat tour... Was pleased beyond measure when we, heading west, arrived in San Antonio where the humidity was relatively unnoticeable, and the heat mild... I can't imagine spending a season there, not in polyester!

Similar to Phoenix, though it was usually about 110 with 45% humidity. And the ice cream truck was always a WELCOME sound!

In Louisiana, the summers were oppressively hot. The temps would be 100 on a normal day, and the humidity in the 90 percentile. Any relief was welcome. We would often seek out the pools in the area.
