This is one of those posts that I missed back in 2006.  Actually, I don't know when I discovered you here and started reading what you wrote.  I shall have to go back and read more of your older posts.

I have always been fascinated with Native American spirituality. Thanks for posting this one.

Yes, after I posted my comment I wished I'd added that while I often sensed amusement, I also felt an incredible amount of acceptance and love.  It's an amazing feeling I've never felt in the "real" world.  I look forward to your next thoughts on the topic.

TVBlogger-- another thought...
The sense I had of myself in that experience was kind of amazing, too:  All of my self-judgments, doubts and fears were simply not there.  There was no question of worthiness or humility being a kind of self-efacement.  I was whole, and wholly myself.  It was a great feeling!  And one foreign to me, at that time.  I think experiencing it, discovering what it felt like, that it was possible and felt right and true, helped me find it in this level of reality, too.

Hooray for synchronicity!
Sannhet and TVblogger, goes to show-- we are all clambering around on the same elephant...  trying to discover all its dimensions with only a few of our own to work with!  Until reading the Gospel of Judas, I had never explored the Gnostics at all-- and suddenly discover that I've been on such a similar track all along!

TVblogger, I can see I am going to have to say a few words about amusement...  ;)

Wow
I was planning to come here and write almost exactly what sannhet said.  As I was reading your post I was also thinking of the gnostics and then wham... you wrote about it and so did he.  I questioned my brother, a pastor, on a section of the old testament when Moses was trying to free the slaves and it said that the Egyptians agreed until God hardened their hearts so that he could take out more revenge on them.  I wanted to know how to reconcile the Christian God of love with this spiteful old testament version.  My brother never did give me an answer.  That certainly sounds like a god to be wary of to me.

Anyway, your vision had the same tone of one I once had with a native grandfather in a cave.  He seemed to find me amusing at times.  Great post.

Ciel -
As I was reading about Grandmother Spider, I began thinking about the Gnostics and their beliefs and how what you were writing about co-creators and the Supreme Being was very similar to their beliefs and poof! you mention it! It's something that I have been researching and trying to get a handle on, but have been struggling with. Your discussions with Grandmother Spider your explanation of co-creators was a light that helped me to see the process better. Thanks!
