I meant to say that I thought this post was a gem
I am not a small town kind of person. I like to be in the middle of nowhere or right in the guts of the city. However, in the city I like to be part of a village.

Lovely
I loved reading about your town, Bel. It sounds like a beautiful place to live. I was born and raised in Chicago and would LOVE to live in a small town such as yours. Loved the pictures too!

Blanche
I miss him greatly and often wonder why he just disappeared.  I do wish he would come back and at least let us know he is OK.  LOL!  No wonder Carl calls me a mother hen.

Bel, thanks for reminding me of Joe Love, he was a crackup!
He is missed. I wonder if he'll turn up again, or if something happened with the Monster. I guess we may never know the rest of that story!

Bel,

For some reason, when I read your sentence about Tom and Jess and their horse farm, I assumed Jess was a man's name!  I had a whole different image of them.   I was thinking Brokeback Mountain Horse Farm!  Arabians are such beautiful horses, so elegant and aristocratic. I was very horsey as a kid, went through the whole girls horse crush, and I loved seeing Arabian horses, their noses have a refined, sculpted look, and they move so gracefully and fast.

I love your descriptioin of your town, the people, and the houses.  Good for Carl for telling that old meddler to MYOB!  I can't stand people like that who are always trying to cause someone else grief and meddling, and spreading rumors.  I'm glad Carl told Brian to tell him where to go.

I hope the adoption in Guatemala goes smoothly.  I had a coworker who went to Mexico to adopt several years ago, and his wife got pregnant almost immediately after that, so their family was increased by two.  I hear a lot of people do that now, going to China, South and Central America, it's a good thing, it's so tought to adopt now and those kids will have a great life.

The photos look great, especially the one with the John Deere, I saw a few of those growing up in Oregon, too.
