Azur - Well at least you don't do it too often ( ' misplacement)

I used to have a brain a long time ago.

They say the brain is a tool, well if it is then mine has probably degenerated to the equivalent of the first rock a neanderthal thought would prove useful for bludgeoning easy prey or berry squishing.

Honestly, I used to have a much sharper mind, now my punctuation is shocking because I've worked in abbreviated enviroments for the last 8 years, logging calls, condensing things down to the vaguest, basic English, with the most factual, colourless meaning.

My brain, past tense.

Cringe
As I said on Blanche01's post, "it's my way or the highway" for some which is fine if it's a good road but get's a little dull

Nautikos that's true
It makes it interesting when your work is being edited by people with whom you don't share cultural references

Azur,
since this woman's native tongue is something other than English, her lack of knowledge of these authors is excusable. Sadly, though, many native speakers of English have neither heard of these writers, let alone read any of their work...

Well Azur at least you understand what people are saying.

I must admit, at times I am very frustrated with some of the in-jokes, the clique mentality of some people.  Some of the content of it goes way over my head and is more than a little pointedly exclusionary, which I'd consider odd being that Blogit is a place where one is meant to be read.

This is why I left the last message board I was involved in.

What a great match in Dortmund.
You have also sparked a memory of a Frost poem I adore. Must read it again soon - The Road Not Taken.
