I really don't think destiny or ourselves are to blame.
Not directly anyway. In my life of pain and suffering, I found that a spiritual change was needed....a whole change of the view on life, before I actually learned that I CAN be happy.
Ok...well, at least not miserable anyway.

In all economically advanced societies where things are within the reach of individuals.
I would love for you to enlighten me with what "an economically advanced society" is. I know of no such place so far... It's all remedial as far as I can tell.
More people should actually read Marx.... and no, I don't mean the Communist Manifesto... I mean works like The Eighteenth Brumiere of Louis Bonaparte. and Das Kapital...

destiny
I guess I am at fault for the things that happen to me, as I dont take others advise and do what feels good to my heart, but eventually it doesnt feel good any longer, but the heart, is now broken in a million pieces

Afzal...
Interesting thoughts. I suppose there is something to be said for letting fate take the blame for bad things, but then what about the good things? Fate as well? Our culture in the U.S. has as it's basis, you are in control of your own fate. While that is true to an extent, there are many things beyond a person's control. The down side is, we are forced to share the blame for bad things (for example, making a mistake at work) and some people avoid that by blaming others. You pose some thought provoking ideas.
