Now that is a bummer, Damon. I once had an acquaintance who gave me
free tickets to a Van Halen concert and a Metallica concert. That was cool

Can You Believe...
...that I once knew a girl who worked for the LTA, and could get me all the Wimbledon tickets I wanted (within reason)?
And I never took her up on it.
And now we've lost touch.
Bummer.

Love those underdogs, Azur. And good for you to have been able to see
such an historic and well-played match.

Truthfully, Mademoiselle, I haven't watched a woman's game of tennis since
Gabrielle Sabatini graced the courts.

I think there are good stories from time to time
Agassi has always been interesting and will be missed. The most gripping match I ever saw was the 2001 men's final. I saw it live and that was when Ivanisevic who had lost in the final four-times before played against Pat Rafter, twice US Open chamption and twice runner-up at Wimbledon. The match was held over to a Monday because of rain and the spectators lined up for tickets. I got there at 6 am. The match was five sets and on a knife edge. Ivanisevic won and it was amazing because he'd had a lousy year and only got entry to the tournament on a wild card.

You're forgetting Martina Hingis (who possesses plenty of personality) ...
and, to a lesser extent, Anastasia Myskina and Venus Williams.
The men's game bores me, however.
