JanesO, No argument, I just remember one thing from the Nixon years
and that was that he looked paranoid. I'd hate for Bush to appear that way.
Jon Stewart had a bit on it last night, stating that to follow the money was a good thing, and the NYT printing that story made the Bush Administration look good for a change. And how do they respond? By charging the NYT with treason. Of course Jon Stewart can make anything funny.

You probably saw on today's news that there are those in the Senate
who want to try the NY Times for treason. It will likely never happen, but I think it's a good idea. There's responsible journalism, and then there is journalism that looks to cause significant harm to a country's multi-faceted war on terror. The NYT should have never released the info on the monitoring of terrorists' finances, especially when BOTH sides of the 9/11 commission as well as members from BOTH parties begged them not to. This is extraordinarily irresponsible.

One often wonders if those revolted ex-colonists of His Majesty King George 111 impeach their presidents pour encourageur les autres. Or perhaps pour discourageur autres for applying for the job in the first place.
It has been suggested that I would make an excellent president of the US, and perhaps I ought to take advantage of this groundswell of support. Must be at least... oh ... well, let's say about six people supporting me.
A small beginning, to be sure, but there again, look at what those few wretches throwing cases of tea into Boston harbour led to.
