- Go to Detainees Released, Troop Reductions In Iraq -- I Smell A Rove
What a viciously vile rumor, scoop. I despise Condi more than Cheney. At
least with Cheney, you've got some of brains behind all this mess and a target, but Condi is a bobblehead from hell and a party hack. Furthermore, I blame her more than anyone (including the CIA and the FBI) besides Dubya for 9/11 being as horrible as it was (because she was privy to the international community's intelligence reports, including Britain's, of a major attack in the works). If they're gearing Condi up from a presidential run, they might as well forget it -- a considerable portion of their conservative base will desert them. But, hey, it's in perfect keeping with Dubya's appointment record to date -- reward those who deserve it least and crass cronyism.

You are absolutely right, Tcasanova, from the spinning to the turmoil, and
we have the GOP to thank for it (not all of it, mind you, just a considerable portion of it).

It's probable, katray, but those that feel outrage today need to vote
tomorrow.

Saul good post,
I believe the Repubs will try anything before the 2008 election starting with the resignation of Cheney where the rumor is Bush will slip in Condi Rice and then a big troop reduction and everything will be wonderful in Republand.

Great post!! I am just sick of this administration's constant assaults on our intelligence
withholding or altering facts. Spinning everything in its path to up Dubya's approval
rating. when all is said and done this country is still in turmoil no matter how you spin it.

I understand Saul
So many are disgusted with the realities of this war now and feel it wasn't worthwhile. And the realities of the economy the majority - middle, working class voters are struggling with. Maybe I'm a dreamer, but I feel a change is probable.

Now, that would be a little hard to believe, kingmi. However, a nudge here
and there to move things in the right direction -- and I do mean right, as in wing -- is not altogether an unbelievable scenario, opportunity leading to advantage...
