I'm with katray on this -- talk about "raw honesty."
Thank you for sharing about your life with "Daddy."

It's funny when I think of it, I don't see it that way in particular. It simply was what is was. Thank you dear.

I wouldn't trade the time I did have with him. It gave me a sense of self and some understanding of him. Both are very valuable to me.

A beautiful story...especially that you gave your dad a chance to know you, even if you did use the guilt trips on him. (see darrke memories about my daughter...I hope things turn out with her that way in my own story.)

God has his reasons for everything and he never gave me more than I could handle. Today will be wonderful, Pam has her daddy right here at home. As soon as she gets up we are going to sneak out and get food for a specail breakfast. Yes, things have been bumpy to this point of my life, but I wouldn't trade this life for anything.

Thank you so very much. I wasn't sure how clear it would be, as this was one I could not think about, I had to simply write it and not look back.

I don't know about tough, I am who I am because of the things I have had in my life. For that reason alone as hard as some things were I am grateful for each experience.

We have all had it rough in one way or another I believe. If life were easy, we wouldn't appreciate the little things. My father loved me, that is the one thing I know wihtout a doubt, there is a good deal more to the story, but this is not something I talk about often for so many reasons. But I knew that he loved me, and that is more than some ever have.

that's a tough, hard story, bel, to relive on Father's Day. I'm sorry you
had it so rough. I know you're a stronger person for it.
Have a beautiful day, ok? I wish Carl the best!

Nearly speechless at the raw honesty and heart in this...
You know of what I speak in some ways...that you hold the positive time with your father in cherished regard speaks highly of your wisdom...your sharing most appreciated Bel.

You've had it rough, haven't you? But, the most interesting people I know have had their share of trials. I hope your husband has a great day tomorrow.
