Bel, I hope you do not mind, but I couldn't help laughing at the one of all the military men.  They all look so tall.   But, it sure is easier to read your posts now.   I have just plain skipped some peoples posts just because I can't stand that back and forth stuff.

What a wonderful idea.  I made some photo/music dvd's for Carl last year, some were of the things I did and others were of our lives and the kids.  He loved them.

BEL...I've put together memory albums for my kids, along with all their
"memorables" from school.  In addition, I've given them copies of poems I've written and I've made a DVD of myself, for them, from when I was a little girl until the present.  Of course, I'll continue to add movies to the DVD over the years, but I think it's something they'll appreciate having once I'm gone.  Plus, I'm getting cremated and I want them each to have some of my ashes.

Bel, I learned from Justi that you can altar the size right there on your post.  Just click on the picture (after you click on edit) and the little boxes appear around the photo.   Place the cursor in the boxes and  go as small as you wish.  Click again and its done.   I used to have lots of problems with that myself until she told me.

I can do that LOL!  I keep forgetting to reduce them before I add them.

I wouldn't worry about being more selective with your writing and drawings.  I am guessing your family will be happy for every single of them.

Bel, writings left behind, pictures, drawings, poems, are always counted as treasures by someone.  I wish my mom and dad had left more than they did.  I wish my son had left something more than his beautiful smile.  I am probably leaving too many.  LOL.   I need to go through my piles and be more discriminating.   I don't suppose you would be interested in making these photos just a tad smaller so that I don't have to keep going back and forth sideways to see them or to read your posts.

Bel, that is wonderful news!! Yes, I'm sure the teachers helped out a lot,
but I'm sure you and Carl can take some of the credit too!

It is very true.  I have seen what a good teacher can do for a student in my own child.  Pam came to live with us two years behind in school.  Not because she was dumb but because she has dyslexia that nobody including her biological mother would believe me when I said so.  In less than 5 months she has jumped up one grade level and is being promoted on Thursday with her current class.  This came from two very caring teachers that saw her potential and encouraged it.

As a teacher you touch lives everyday, you will leave that behind and for many they will carry it on and pass it on.
