Passion

Is it not a Christian attitude to offer compassion where needed.  That man's wife and children live in fear of him coming back.  Granted she has a restraining order against him but we all have seen the results of many of those on the evening news.  His death is truly all that will give them any peace.  It's sad but I see nothing wrong with your attitude you are simply giving compassion where it is needed.

I do have to admit your description of the olive is quite unique, I think you should have an evil character that dies in such a manner.

Well, I'm happy for you but his family isn't so lucky!
I think we should ask God to let him choke on a green olive, turn purple and die right there on the spot. {I'm sitll working on my 'Christian Attitude'}

Nope Passion

Not wrong at all.  Believe me there were times I could hear this man screaming at his wife or kids from my house (Mind you I don't live in a place where neighbors are packed in, seldom unless someone is really

SCREAMING can we hear anything beyond an occasional dog bark or a horse whinny but this man would be so loud and so vulgar that I would find myself feeling the need to cower from inside of my house.   I hate to say it, but I am grateful they won't be coming back.

Why don't people like this man fall off a building or somethng?
Do you think it would be wrong to ask God to let him fall under a bus at least???

He is just a mean "sod" as you call him, I have other names for him.  He is just a horrible man.  As far as being good neighbors, I don't anyone that would leave a woman and 6 children (including a 7 week old infant) standing in the cold to watch their home burn.  Believe me, I was glad when they left as the kids are out of control under normal circumstances and they tore my house up.  I did what needed to be done but to say that I was thrilled with it, well....that would not be true.

This was horrifying to watch.  Basically all that is left is what you see.  There is nothing inside, I have never seen anything of this sort up close before and it has made me extra careful.

Dang, you didn't need that in your life. How very sad and upsetting. Is he perhaps a veteran just home and upset over that or is he just a mean sod? You're good neighbours

Manda

I was never at risk.  The family had been staying in a house a few blocks away and quite frankly this man only seems to hurt and endanger those that love, trust and rely on him.  I never liked him and kept my distance.

Thanks so much!!!

That's more than what was left of my neighbor's house

as I watched it go totally up in smoke two years ago in the middle of the night. Talk about frightening. I can't imagine what it's like to have it happen and pray I never do.

And way to go re: the "good night"

Bel, good comparison in one post of a lovable teddy bear of a man and a "rat".   You go from one extreme to the other.
