Kushie,
K, I agree that the idea of buying only $10.00 of gas at a time. Unfortunately, larger towns won't go for it cause the word just won't get around to enough people to make an impact. Secondly, last week, I heard a local gas station owner on the news saying that he's actually losing money every time someone fills up because he was paying more for the gas than he was allowed to charge (without it being considered "price gouging.") That's also a sad reality because their are some honest, private gas station owners that are getting screwed. I do agree not to fill up at Exxon/Mobil and a few others. I do know BP is a  place to buy from. By the way, how's the upcoming mortgage situation coming along? Hope all is well!!

Kushie,

I wish we could harness the power of the marketplace to put a stop to price gouging. It would take some serious organization and determination on the part of the consumers. I'm not sure American consumers have that kind of discipline, but maybe..it could work.

However anyone feels about the immigrant issue (and I don't know enough yet to form an opinion), I was impressed with the organization of the strike yesterday. That's some clout.
