Where did you find there idea......I'd like to see it...it would be a first for about 16 years.......
In Kentucky several decades ago....the Governor came up with the idea to give vetrens a "Bonus" it was in the early 60's......The bonus was from $500 to $1500 dollars. Great idea to show our appreciation???
Well, he also came up with the plan to pay for the bonus......a newfangled 3% sales tax on literally everything, including food......the people were stupid enough to not realize that it would cost them more than the bonus gave them in just the first year! There's not been any more bonuses........but our sales tax is still around and now it's 6%.
Naw.....I don't want any rebate.....
