I think that you can still find good authors who take you places
There is a place I want to return to so much that I am writing a novel
set there. My plan is that if I ever get a contract for it that I will
go to that place to a chunk of the writing

Great Post! I'm not sure if
We still have the caliber of writers we once had or maybe those writers from 30 - 100 years ago just tried harder - Maybe they put their heart and soul into their work and we don't --We've gotten lazy and careless.
