When life hands you lemons, make something you like out of them which for me would be lemon meringue pie. i.e., you never know what you have until faced with the decision. I just saw my future with or without DBS. To me it was a, ahem, "no brainer."

I just don't want people to fear this kind of surgery. It's been the easiest so far, believe it or not. I'm not cured but I'm a whole lot better!!

It's a blessing that you were the right candidate for the deep brain
surgery and it turned out to be a successful surgery. You are now well and sound. No one could have guessed you were once a patient of Parkinson's disease. Totally amazing!
