I hope that all goes well. IT sounds like there is heaps of work ahead but I'm sure if it comes your way you will turn it into your dream home.

It sounds exciting. Just an unsolicited piece of advice, if you do get the house, just make sure all the money and work you plan to put into it is worth it. Make sure the area has a decent increasing property value for when/if you sell. Oh, and get a home inspector cause you don't want any suprises after the sale; especially if it's being sold "as is." Well, good luck (on your house bid).
You know, on shows like "Trading Spaces", they make renovating look so fun, quick and easy ... but, I assume it's a lot more laborious in the real world.
I love your idea for the color scheme, btw.
