I was a skeptic the first two seasons, watching the American public dash
the hopes of really talented singers by using speed dialers to keep people like Justin Guarini in it until the final two. Thank heavens Kelly Clarkson won the damn thing. And let's face it, Reuben is only so-so. Then there was LaToya (I forget her last name at present), who had Fantasia outclassed and outsang but was voted off with like six weeks to go. And I'll never forget redheaded John, the crooner, who literally sucked but made it to like the final six in Season Three. I love the show. I think it's a great showcase for new talent. It's certainly entertaining. But I don't plan my week around it. However, I ask for Monday nights off every week so I don't miss

I have never yet had the inkling to watch Am Idol, but
all around me, peopla plan their week accordingly!
