Whacky, did they warn you about this in advance???
Seems, if they did not, very unprofessional. After all, it's not that difficult to knock on your front door, smile pretty and say "uhh, ma'am, you might wanna park your car on the curb a block away because we will be destroying your driveway and blocking all exit and entry points to your house for the next two months. . . ." or something such as that.
