Ah, archiew, a charlatan by any other name would be... uh...let's see,
Oral Roberts.  Yeah, that's it.  Good post.  I was on the same wavelength when I wrote "The Pat Robertson Flip-Flop Files."  Sadly, religious faith doesn't need scientific proof or facts to perpetuate its existence.  It simply requires, well, faith.  That's what Santa keeps telling me...

i believe in
what i can experience.
not what someone tells me is there, invisible.
but what astounds me is so many people support Robertson when he is so wrong.
I've stated this a few times, but Palestine is not "god's land"
God gave it to Abrahm and his descendants forever.
Both Jews and Palestininans are Abraham's descendants.
They are given the land to share.

Interesting response.  To not believe something that cannot be proven to exist you say is irrational!  And from which MH facility are you posting?

Thanks!
Now that I'm back to work, after almost 3 weeks off, I need to be retrained!

Sortof true, WmEdler . . .
Something that does not exist cannot be proven to not exist.     However, something that does may be proven, given time and opportunity.

In a larger, more serious sense, I look at my blogs as exercises in writing and in providing a forum for the dissemination of my opinions.  I enjoy writing and expressing my opinion, and also enjoy comments such as yours.  Thanks for reading and commenting.  I look forward to reading more of your writing, WmEdler.

Proof There Is No God
Stupidity in any form is not proof. Whether "God" exists or not is not rationalized by inane acts or speech. "God" is a portrayal of religion-- not an established fact. Religions say "God" is male -- I say "God" has no gender since "God" is not a human. Let us not waste energy on deciphering the reality of "God" -- better to define "God" and accept Him/Her/It as the devine being we refer to as "God".

I wash often!  Several times daily . . . .

Hardly absurd, considering the topic of this blog.  I would give you my beliefs if it corresponded with this topic's subject matter, which it doesn't, so I won't.  But thanks for asking!

And you are correct:  people do have the right to be stupid, even decent, caring people.

Pat's stupid, your shallow. It's a wash.
Your so-called proof is absurd and your commentary is more to insult people than to say something constructive or substantive. I'd be much more interested to know what you do believe than what you don't. That way I and others reading your commentary can decide whether you have anything useful to say or not. It's altogether harder to intelligently articulate how you believe the world coheres - as people with any point of view are entitled to do - than to sling insults at people you don't know, many of them undoubtedly decent, caring people.

Agree to Disagree
One man cannot be the proof, yet I understand what you are saying.  In most all areas and arenas there are zealots who presume to speak for a population and often do not carry the message exactly as intended.  Good post!
