Thanks ... I figured it was something like that...
I don't do electricity. That's for Dad. I'll see him tomorrow and ask him if he can take a look at the fixtures sometime soon. Fortunately, we don't use those lights much.

Bummer.
Sounds like you have a short in the wiring in the light fixture. This is bad because it could start a fire. What has probably happened is - the wire nut or screw that connects one or both of your wall wire(s) to your light fixture wire(s) has come loose. It's actually easy to fix: shut off the breaker at the electrical panel, unscrew the fixture and twist the wires back togetherback together.
