You do realise, don't you, gypsy, that from now on in I will be wondering which choir member is kissing which part of another choir member.........mmm........beats dark matter and donkey's noses by a long way.  Thank you gypsyredhead for making me look forward to next Sunday.

John...
Everytime I've ever been in church I've felt the urge to run. At least your musings are innocent. I mostly try to picture which members of the congregation are actually in to kinky sex.

MayB

My thoughts travel at the same velocity and in the same direction, much to Ell's despair, MayB.  The same thoughts force me to the Glenfiddich.

What do you think of when you go with Ell? By the end of this fascinating ramble I felt like joining you for that Glenfiddich

Taps
Don't worry about it Tapsel.  I confuse myself at any time of the day or night.

word
Gasps of amazement!!!  Me?  Miss a word the Pastor said?   I didn't even know they spoke.  Well isn't that something else I've learned!

BrightIrish
Isn't that what churches are for, BrightIrish?  Ell is feeling slightly better, thank you.

Johnmcnab, you have gotten me all confused.  Maybe its because I'm still up in the wee hours of the morning and need to hit the hay.

So, in all this ruminating,

did you hear a single thing the pastor said?

ginnieb

At least the communion is only once a quarter, ginnie.  For the rest of the time I can sleep in peace.

FactorFiction
It is (was) Monday morning, FactorFiction and I did choose a deep subject for this time of the week.  I promise I'll cheer up if you will :-))

Deep thoughts in church!
It's great that your church/minister/congregation can inspire such thoughts...that's the way it should be eh?  I think the scary part of a religious organization is to keep people on one track...on 'their' straight and narrow.  Interesting stuff Mac!  And LOL about your reference to Scots' nationalism!

hmm

Sounds like me and church...and my avoidance thereof... all that following and sitting and standing... I can't get past being reminded of cattle herding...

Usually pondering the universe is my late night activity though...church is for thinking about all of the things I should be doing instead of playing mindless follower. Hmmm, let's hope this is my harsh comment of the day. Not a good start...
