I'm at the same stage as you, tigerprincess. I have decided to concentrate on looking for an agent and after reading submission guidelines I re-read a few chapters of my book. Now I am on a downer.
Sometimes when I re-read one of my own articles I am amazed at how good it is and wonder who could have written it, but not this time.

TigerP,
I think it does matter if it keeps your personal interest but also the opinions of others. A Tarot reading may help if you're into that.

Well tigerprincess, there's always the obvious:
other readers' opinions.
