That is kind of how I feel about it. If the armory wasn't a 2 hour drive and they simply wanted to be part of the crowd that will gather it would be on thing, but most people expect someone to give them time after driving 2 hours.

I don't know exactly how to describe these people. He likes to do things for people and then call the press to show what a great guy he is (he is a Township Supervisor with big political aspirations). I made it quite clear yesterday...I hope, that this event is for family and the few that have been invited are family.

This is the wife of the man that came by to take Carl to an American Legion meeting while he was home on leave. Mind you Legion meetings are very sexually segregated. I was by no means welcome, I get to attend the "Ladies" meetings. Keep in mind this legion is run by some old and miserable old men who think women should still be barefoot and pregnant and treat even the women that are Vet's themselves like dirt.
But needless to say, these people are clueless.
