A cup of tea
is a panacea for so many things. Where would we be without it?

You know, some things simply take priority.
Hubby is simply gonna have to buy you a mini-generator that is powerful enough to run your computer whenever the lights go out! Is that asking too much?? LOL

I enjoy the electrical outages, pulling out the candles, wrapping up in a big blanket, listening to the wind whip around the corners of the house.  But just not for very long.  After a few hours, it's definitely time to get the power back on--and the heat!

I would say that your tea must have been very precious to you at that moment. I once went without electric for 8 days after a tornado and hope to never experience that again. Stay Warm!

Original Influence, I think its kind of fun when the electricity goes off and you have to rough it for a bit.   But, if it goes on too long, it gets a bit old.

Original Influence,

Man, there are times I would kill for a good, strong cup of tea, after I've been outside in the muck.    It warms the innards.

BlancheDubois,
I hadn't heard that before. It truly is though!

Original Influence,
Whew, you are having some fun there.  There is nothing like hot tea to keep your courage and your strength up.  I hear the British brewed tea in the subways of London during the Blitzkrieg.  It's a lifesaver.
