Go to Malcolm's midwife: Words from the heartAdd a commentGo to Goodbye

...and while you must, and do, let go as they grow, concerned thoughts of them never stop. My now grown son, when a teen, was into cave exploration, which I imagine is not totally unlike a trip in the tube.

I hope you find support from within and without; hopefully we can get through all these issues together. It really helps me to be able to express my thoughts and know that others will read them and offer advice and support back.

I love 'letting go and letting God.' You have a beautiful way of phrasing and I know it comes from inside. Thank you

Thank you. I'm sure it will cause me problems until the day senility or death finally set in.

I think that we have to start letting go little by little when they are very young, when you leave them with a sitter for instance. It begins very soon but it doesn't get easier

Malcolm

My heart goes out to you my friend. The very toughest part of parenting is "letting go and letting God."

I've had 5 kids and 4 step-kids and they have all gotten on that "train" and all doing quite well and so will yours my friend.

I feel sad for you and I am glad you realize that it is part of the process. I am still having a few problems in that area.
