Can you imagine if he knelt down to give thanks - with the chainsaw still in his hands and lifted his hands to heaven.  Talk about being double jointed or bi-partisan?

I suppose he's still giving thanks....

john...that is such a cute stiry! Poor guy and to think all he wanted to do
was chop down a tree. He won't be doing that again in a hurry.

littlemspickles
For furnace read 'Central Heating Unit' but then you won't have one of those either, will you, littlemspickles?   He was a very lucky guy.  This will never happen to me as I would kill myself with a screwdriver within a day.  With a chainsaw my chance of survival would be minus nil.

what a story!!!
And re: furnace repairmen (we don't have any where I am - no furnaces! lol) but it sounds like the waiting list for an electrician or a plumber - there just never seems to be any available!

FactorFiction
A true story FactorFiction except for the normal embellishments I suppose.   A truth is stranger than fiction, story - if you'll pardon me taking half your name in vain.

Tapsel-T
It was really odd, wasn't it, Tapsel.  The guy it happened to is a regular at the gym, but he hasn't been in for weeks.  He turned up in Friday, limping and told us about it.  He is a very lucky person.

Very lucky that he didn't become a living ice sculpture, BrightIrish.

Heck, I can't get one near the house without a month's notice, MayB.

Screaming for help was probably the key...
to getting help. I think?

Strange things happen, Johnmcnab.  And, I must admit that one ranks somewhere close to #1.

Alas furnace repairmen are not always around when needed
