I'm sure Saddam made his troops do a lot of things, the alternative being a quick shot in the head, or decapitation, or gassing, but I'm guessing that many more of his minions followed him out of blind loyalty.  Not to mention the perverse pleasure that too many people enjoy from having such control and power.

I think any brain cells that Bill had left
he shot all over Monicas blue dress. But I must say I was also surprised when the U.S. tried to get some of the army to come back.

Ohhhhh???  So Saddam made them do all those dastardly things.....They didn't want to do it......I know my outlook on this has been impacted with that revelation.........

That's why the US placed a call ...
for all former commanders of Saddam's army to come back. The country wasn't evil. Just the madman at the top. Nobody holds the US people in low regard because of the actions of Bush & Cheney.

I concur, Corbin. Don't these guys understand they're flip flopping all over the place? Denying they ever said such things, frequently changing tune, etc.
