Melissa

Feels bad that is an understatement.  I have tried to convince him that after 14 years he is merely an after thought for the young woman but he plans on sending a letter to her grandmother's home when he gets back apologizing for his bad behavior.

I have known about this woman since we met, he has carried the regret of being such a jerk for a long time and feels he owes her an apology.  They were both very young and my guess is she has long moved on but he was a total jerk to her and quite frankly he should apologize if for no other reason so she will know without a doubt it was HIM and not her LOL!

I also told him is you were the one and you hated me after I was going to kick him in the tail when he got home LOL!

I Never Lived Anywhere Near There!
I have only lived in Illinois and Wisconsin and my last name is by marriage, so he's safe!  He's a better person than most, though, if he truly feels badly for whatever unniceness she must have experienced on account of him!

LOL! I am sure Bill has other folks on his guest list.  Though I have to admit if you are going to send me to someone Bill would be my pick!

God, you're sweet! Your entry moved me so much, I felt like emailing Bill O'Reilly and telling him he needed to invite you to his show. LOL

Indeed it does, MW, God bless all of them and God bless you......
Carl is very fortunate to have such a supportive wife as you are and have been.   We are fortunate to have Carl and all those like him who care about us and our needs.

MilitaryWife...many in my family either served in the World Wars or
Vietnam.  However, no other war since then.  My niece recently joined the Marines and I worry for her future.  Kudos to you for honoring those you know, those you don't know, and those who have died in our honor!

Melissa

Thank you so much.  I have to tell about a chuckle that I got from this comment.  I tend to share many of the comments from this blog with Carl.  He was out having a cigarette when yours came in, so when he came back online I read yours to him and he asked who it came from, I gave him the name and he about had a heart attack.  He asked where you were from etc..  I knew many years ago he was a REAL jerk to a oyung woman named Melissa...seems her last name was KNight.  So dear, if you ever lived in Hagarstown MD and dated a jerk of a soldier from Fort Ritchie...he is deeply sorry for being such a jerk.

Yes, I checked your profile and it is unlikely you are the same Melissa but I promised him I would put that out for him.  LOL!

I think about you alot these days, like every time I thank god that my husband (much to his chagrin) is color blind and I can kiss and hug him.  Thank Carl and everyone in the service you know, for me.  I, too, am aware that all I have is my gratitude to give.  Hardly seems worth it for them, does it?  If I had a company, I would employ only returning soldiers as long as they needed to be.  Even if it was just until they could find the job they wanted, I would do what I could.  On the bright side, he'll be home soon, right?  When he's with you, I know you will give him all the love you have to give and I know he will give back.  Hold that in your heart, it's going to be here sooner than later.  You are always in my heart.

Him worry?  Nevr LOL!  Yeah ok, this is the man who asks me everyday what I have eaten and then complains because I didn't eat enough in his opinion.  Ask your wife about the not worrying so much...easier said than done my friend.  When a part of your soul is in harms way, worry comes with the job.

I liked the picture you took. Glad to hear Carl is doing good. I know its har for you to understand thnis butg you shouldn't worry yourself so much. I don't know if he is one to let you know but, I know he worries more about you than you about him.
