Godiva

Thank you Lady G.  I'll look for the neo-thingy tomorrow, and I don't care how often I shoot up, as long as I can breathe.

yoga and drugs - that's the ticket
My sinuses have been taking over my life too.  But I found this wonderful nose spray called neo-synephrine.  It's the only thing that works instantly but I find myself shooting up like every hour or two to keep the air flowing.  And you should really consider giving yoga a chance too.

Original
Thanks for looking in, Original, and as for the safety - it is locked on.

I am glad that you are feeling better,
I hope that the trigger's safety slips on and stays on, and it is probably all of those things combined.

Thank you for the compliment, MayB.  I hope the closure will be temporary.

Well, I hope you are in a better mood by today!

Must be something in the air these days. I have not been reading or posting much because of my own tendency toward being depressed/bummed out. Hope you find your way out soon too! Happy November!

Tiel

Thank you for the thoughts, Tiel.   All the posts are already on the computer hard drive, and are saved for posterity.  I've made that mistake before and swore I wouldn't do it again.  I'll probably return when everything and everyone settles down - fingers crossed.  'Sweet Bugger All' really means 'nothing at all' or if you want to be rude about it 'Sweet eff all.'  Keep on posting Tiel.

posted by johnmacnab on October 30, 2005 at 6:13 PM | link to this | reply

Please---What does "sweet bugger all" mean?  Also please, don't delete your blogs.  If you need to have a purging, and sometimes we all do, one way or another, please put your writings on a disk and just store the disks away someplace and let them be.  You might very well wish to read them again someday to help you with your self exploration.  But if not, perhaps those who love you will one day feel as though you have left them a treasure----some of yourself.

Aaargh!
Just typed you up a few lines and it all disappeared into obscurity. Damn this stupid internet connection.  Hope you find the answer to those ups and downs. If you do, be sure to share. Oh, and least I know that there is some hope of you condescending to answer my mail!  Winky

Thanks Lensman.  You make a good point about intelligence, but not to worry, I usually act as if I was as thick as two short planks.

JohnMcNab
I think you've touched on a lot of great reasons for feeling good.  Knowing you're okay physically and sleeping well are two things that always make my day.   On the flip side, I would point the finger at a high IQ, as it could take you places you'd rather not follow.  Ignorance is bliss, they say.   Anyway, glad you're on the "up"

MayB
Deleting posts from the beginning is sore on the wrist, MayB.  First of all click on 'Write', then click on 'Edit' for your particular blog.......and then go all the way back at the bottom of the page.  In my case back to page 22, and start clicking 'delete' on each post.  There was a certain perverse satisfaction in doing it, and by the time I'd deleted back to page 10 I was feeling better.....or bored?

You can't fool an old man that easily, ginnie.  I've been reading your posts for a long time and there are two things I do know.  You are emotional and intelligent.... so there.

BrightIrish
Thanks BrightIrish.  I'd seen the adverts for 'Breathe Right' and thought, what a load of crap, but last night I was so desperate I would have tried a carrot up my nose.  It worked - no, not the carrot - so tonight I'll try it again.  Of course it could be that I'm sleeping jsut because it has stopped raining - or is it because of the laughs I get from BrightIrish?

Maryx
Yes, I remember Maryx, very fondly.  You were one of the few people who read my posts.   Welcome back, young lass.

Johnmcnab

I hope you still feeling well! Sounds like we have similar sinus problems and I found myself using the breathe Right during this past week, about 2 weeks ago, I started using ' Sudafed Non-Drying and it does give me some relief from that fog that seems to come with the problem. Well, the last I heard you and the dog were both smiling and I do wish that it is still the way it is.

Splutter!  Splutter!  Calm down, Krisles!  I think that what I should have said was that I deleted a lot of 'posts', not blogs.  I'm sorry about your shoulder, Krisles, but what do you mean I'm too old to have a temper tantrum..let me tell you young lady I'm not too old to have a temper tant............OK, OK, I give in, I was in a sulk.

JohnMcnab,
IQ, SchmIQ. Who knows? If smart people could reason ourselves into being happy, it would be an easy task.  I'm glad you got some relief.

What's this about deleting blogs?! Have you gone crazy?! You can't just do that!! I mean...... well, stop it....just stop it! You know what that was, don't you.....a temper tantrum! You are entirely too old to be having a temper tantrum! It's ridiculous! Now, stop it! Have you tried yoga? Deep breathing? Watching Monty Python?  Sorry you're feeling so awful...but, I've got a frozen shoulder that has me in agony and I'm not deleting blogs....I'm going off like a wild woman at you....but I'm not deleting blogs!!! Where are my dang pain pills......

LOL Mac!
Methinks you answered all your questions yerself! Now what's this about deleting blogs?? REally?? Okay then I'm deleting my two blogs too! Hmph! Great now you've put me in a bad mood! Hehe..not really..I'm just feeling that nice first flush of a rum and coke! ;) Now...I think I have the program for you! For 'what is the trigger'...might I suggest you might like to enrol in Steve's new program...EI...no not EL=ell...EI=emotional intelligence. EI is the ability to recognise and navigate your own and others emotions in order to increase harmony, efficiency and happiness...oh ya and the ability to finish one's novel! (I just made that last part up!) I think I need another drink...how about you?
