Gosh, Quirky!

I am both fascinated by and scared of the "great beyond".  My mother was a psychic and died when I was 18.  Soon after her funeral, I begged her not to visit me or make her other-worldly presence known, because it would scare me.  She has kept her promise all these years.  However, everyone who meets me says they can feel her strong, protective presence around me.  A friend of mine, soon after she met me, went to a psychic for a reading and was baffled by a vision of a giant "D" all around her.  My friend had no connection to that letter.  Finally, the psychic asked my friend if she had recently met a young woman who had come to work with her?  Yes, my friend said, meaning me.  My mother's name was Dean.  I'm sure it was her, keeping her promise to me, but trying to let me know she is near and at the same time keeping her promise.

Of course I'm a believer. She was my best friend, and I knew her very well. I was not even the slightest bit afraid of Samuel. Ever.

Quirk
not fair! You left me wanting...are you really a believer? I am...therefore I leave it the heck alone!
