It isn't good when dogs just run the neighborhood unattended. It happens here, too. Sometimes when a strange dog comes into our yard, we don't even know if it will bite or not. We have a Baby, too. She is a cat with two different colored eyes. I invite you to visit my pet blog so you can see her.

Call the pound on those bad dogs who opened the gate and chained Baby up...
Hmmmm.
There are little galvanized brackets designed to hold conduit to a wall you could buy cheaper than pitons and screw into place. Maybe the pipe could slide back and forth through that. Take a digital photo to your hardware person and ask her/him!
