I haven't judged anyone or anybody. Remember what I wrote in my last paragraph. Only the people who were there know the truth. And, as we know, not everyone sees everything the same way.

The back story
Interesting, I'll have to watch closer as this one unfolds.

I'm not sure what to make of this,
growler. I have to base how I feel about an athlete in a situation like this on what I know about that athlete. I believe something similar happened to Jerome Bettis happened a few years ago, and my immediate reaction was "That doesn't sound like him at all." The woman later dropped the charges. I don't know Larry Johnson, so I'll withhold judgement, which you should do anyway, and wait and see what happens.

growler--
Friends are never willing to believe the worst about their friends. That's why O.J. Simpson got away with beating up Nicole for so long. Maybe there are two sides to this story, but a muscular male athlete never, ever acts violently toward a woman, unless his life is in immediate danger. He may win because he's a professional athlete and can afford good representation; but he should lose, and I believe he will. Hemlocker
