Saul, Dick Cheney pointed out today that the Houstan area was able to
respond to the Louisiana disaster because they had prepared for their own, which hasn't happened yet, another reference to New Orleans lackadaisical existence.

Ariel, that facts are that I was being facetious, mimicking these liberal
morons who care more about their political agenda than they do about their country or their countrymen.  The weather reference was taken from the 1970's rumor that Russia had learned to manipulate the weather and was causing, and could cause, all of our bad weather patterns.

I would be highly intrigued to learn of your sourcs for the statements that you make about Bush, or others in is administration causing Katrina?

This is science fiction, for if such technology existed, there woul dbe no global warming, or any other natural disaster in the making.

Were such a technique availaible there would no deserts of scrubland incapable of supporting human life.

Really, this is the most remarkable thing that I've ever read ; outside of the pages of Isaac Asimov.

Pray tell me, what are the facts in this ; not the opinions

Bush needs to answer impeachment charges directed from other sources,

if he's to be impeached at all, huh, kingmi?  Did these guys actually read your post, my friend, or were they too red-eyed and raging after simply reading the title of the blog?  I believe they never got to your point, wanting to trounce another liberal without getting too involved in a little thinking, although the one comment did compliment your writing (which is rather good, by the way).  Or is sarcasm/cynicism lost in writing for most people?  Who knows.  Anyway, good post.  As I've said in a few posts, this disaster can be blamed on historical neglect on every government level up to and including the present.  However, the aftermath falls to the higher government levels, of state and federal.

You point out that the situation may have been a lot different if the populace of the Big Easy over the years had been better educated, more inclined to preparedness over the languishing wait-and-see.  And you are probably more right than wrong.  But situations that arise such as this generally are circumvented not by the public, but by programs sponsored at higher levels, by people usually far better educated than the lumpen masses.  This does not give the public a free ride, for we should all be congnizant of government and the things they do that can affect our lives (safety and livelihood included), but historical governmental neglect of New Orleans as well as the ill-preparedness of the response has contributed to this disaster.

In this country, generations of people have relied on the government for help in almost every type of situation imaginable.  Facing the terrible reality that it may not or cannot always be there for you, I think, is the cold hard lesson to be learned here.  Taking some personal responsibility for your life, regardless of government assistance, could go a long way in averting future such tragedies.

(By the way, kingmi, whatcha been up to?  Haven't heard from you in awhile.)

Jokes apart
My dear, Bush deserve not a single thought of impeachment.Even the emotionally charged and the new darling of the Liberals, I mean the mayor of New Orleans, said yesterday on CNN that, Bush wanted to do something and the Governor said, she needed 24 long hours. Now, who is to be blamed? The weather, the authorities down south or George Bush? One big clear thought will certainly you give the answer. I am cock sure of this.

Are you kidding???
I read your blog--do you really think Bush should be impeached for this New Orleans thing???Are you kidding???--yea, right he created the entire thing--you are a good writer--and you are probably well educated, but if you think this New Orleans black disaster is all Bush's fault you need to do a bit of research on the city--and do yourself a favor--go back a few years--
