I think Hurricane Katrina and the devastation that has resulted from it is going to be a topic of discussion for some time, especially in terms of the incredible and unimaginable loss so many, many people have suffered. Up to last week, Hurricane Andrew had been the most costly hurricane ever. Katrina will far surpass that as the area it has impacted is far greater than had been with Andrew. Florida was able to absorb the damage without any major disruption to its economy. Such will not be the case with Katrina as the economic effects will be enormous and not felt just in the states it hit, but throughout the entire country.
