This was a very intriguing entry! I enjoyed it A LOT!! Both the doubling-up of taxi passengers and the spounging of cellphone minutes were interesting tidbits of information.

While I sat there thinkning about the cabbie wanting to use my phone, at the back of my mind, there was a marquee flashing

The end of your comment made me laugh. Yes, that's what I need to tell moochers instead of being accommodating.
If you have a cabbie's cell phone number, things are easy. You just call him up when you need him or ask him to send someone. Just hope you don't get a cab driver from hell. The little on is up and about now and when I ask if he's not going to urinate. He says 'I'll do it in the night.' meaning, when he's asleep.
Do take care of yourself and don't forget to make that visit.

It's not only in Jamaica that people have cell phones and no credit. My boys often fall into that category! But worse than that I did meet a guy once who wouldn't call me because he was such a cheapskate. Instead he would text "call me" to my phone and expect me to call him. Guess how long that relationship lasted...?

wow, it's so different from calling a cab here....
I guess next time I'll just shut up when I'm on hold forever and they take too long to get here. :) I'm sure it's hard to convince any man that a penis injury is not the end of the world....even at 4, he has the instincts. ;) Thank you for checking in on me. I've written a couple of half-posts, but it's been hectic here. I am okay, not a lot of pain now. I will go to the chiropractor soon and make sure, but I just haven't gone yet. I think it just took longer for the pain to go away since those areas that were injured are still not as strong as I need to make them. I'll need to get on that. I was getting migraine upon migraine for the first few days, and my shoulder still hurts, but over all, I'm good. Be safe out there, and next time some stranger asks for your phone just say, "Mi nuh have no credit!"
